CLAG 2007 – Directions & Orientation to Colorado College

1. How to Get Here

By PlaneMany airlines fly directly to Colorado Springs without requiring you to switch planes in a hub city. The Colorado Springs airport is a 20-minute drive from the campus. You can take a taxi (719-634-5000) to campus; cost is usually $20-25.

By Car — Interstate 25 is the major highway into Colorado Springs. Take Exit #143 (Uintah Street) and go east (away from the mountains) to Cascade Avenue. Turn right (south) and you will be on campus.

2. All registration activities will be in LOOMIS HALL on the campus of the Colorado College.

3. Parking on campus: During registration, in LOOMIS HALL, you will be asked whether you brought your own vehicle/rental. You will be issued a parking pass to keep on your dash; this will allow you to park for free in the LOOMIS and WOOD AVE lots on campus.

4. On campus accommodations: ALL CLAGistas will be housed in the JL Knight apartments if you have selected on-campus housing/board. You will be issued a dining card and two keys (one for the building, one for your room), along with banquet “beverage” tickets – hang on to these in your name-tag.

5. If you have selected off campus accommodations, there will be some light breakfast items on Friday and Saturday of the conference (June 1 and 2) before sessions begin in the Tutt Science Building (214 and 221 will be our meeting rooms). You will be responsible for getting to and from these off-campus accommodations.

6. The opening reception on May 31st, 7-9 p.m., will be in Gates Common Room, on the third floor of PALMER HALL. The final CLAG Banquet, Keynote and CLAG Awards will also be held in the Gates Room on Saturday, June 2nd, starting at 7 p.m. and lasting well into the night.
