Course Objectives

A Theme-Based Course

The chemistry content of the course will be organized around three themes.  They are: 1) How Could Life Have Arisen on Earth?; 2)  Water Treatment: How Can We Make Our Water Safe to Drink? and 3) How Do I See? Essentially one week of the course will be devoted to each theme.  In these three contexts you will learn those chemical concepts and skills that you will need to go on in courses which have this course as a prerequisite.
