Reading assignment: Tacitus, The Annals of Imperial Rome - pgs. 31-128
(You may skim chapters 2 and 3 EXCEPT for pgs.: 51-58 (Germanicus and Agrippina), 62 and 63, 71-77, 89 (last paragraph). We are most concerned about events and persons attached to the imperial houshold and events in Rome. Pay most attention to these episodes.
