Colorado Governor Ammons calls the Colorado National Guard to Ludlow

Mother Jones arrives in Trinidad, Colorado

Governor Ammons withdraws all troops from Ludlow except two Companies of troops

April 20, 1914
3 bombs explode in the tent colony beginning a confrontation. Two children, eleven women, and a disputed number of men were killed.

April 22, 1914
Union men issue a call to arms to the entire state of Colorado.
