Final Report Guidelines

Title
Authors and addresses

Abstract: 1-2 paragraph summary of the project (1 page)-this is usually the last part written-it includes a summary of all of the most relevant parts of your report.

Introduction: A context for why the project was done with lots of references to prior work (2-4 pages). The references are added as either footnotes or endnotes.

Research Methods: A description of the methods used to obtain your data in such a way that the study could be reproduced by another person or another group. (1-4 pages)

Results & Discussion: A summary of your findings where much of the information is in the form of graphs and/or tables. The discussion should try to interpret the findings in the diagrams and tables. (3-8 pages)

Conclusion: A summary of the work with suggestions for future work. (1-3 pages)

Double-spaced

1" margins

Times font (12 point)

Pages numbered

Endnotes all in one place at the end of the report but before the figures and legends

All figure and table legends labeled on a single page

Figures and diagrams one per page w/ no legend
